Project overview
Culture, history and river become one connected journey.
The proposal responds to the fading public connection with Odisha's maritime trade history. It brings exhibition, making, performance, landscape and river access together as a sequence that can be discovered rather than a single static display.
Computational field studies informed the circulation network and visual corridors. A central courtyard holds three temporary exhibits representing the surviving links between culture, history and river, while workshops, a sculpture garden, an auditorium, retail activity and ghats extend the experience across the site.
Design priorities
Three ideas carried through the proposal.
Algorithm-assisted circulation organised around attraction points and sensory nodes.
Framed routes connect the city, cultural programmes and the water's edge.
Courtyards, workshops and mixed-media exhibits make heritage participatory.
Portfolio boards
Concept, analysis and design development.
Selected original boards from the reviewed portfolio source.
